I’ve been calling Victoria home since 1989 and I always get so excited to brag about my city!
For starters, situated on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, Victoria can be viewed as the “Hawaii” of Canada having the mildest climate in the country. Victoria is also home to many historic buildings and you can find some of the best museums in Western Canada.
As the capital city of British Columbia, Victoria has developed into a cosmopolitan centre but is still heavily influenced by its British ancestry. This is reflected by the sighting of double-decker buses and horse drawn carriages amongst its vibrant entertainment scenes.
With a population of approximately 330,000, you can enjoy the large city perks without the pitfall of congestion. There really is something for everyone here with a wide variety of leisurely activities, sport and cultural facilities.
Oceans… Mountains… Need I say more?
